ORION / Core definition

What ORION is.

ORION is iMpact’s flagship product: an assistant that works from the context you permit, shows the plan before it acts, and keeps a record you can read, export, or delete. This page is the detailed version — definition, principles, architecture, current limits, live product, documents, and policies in one place.

Definition

One paragraph, no marketing.

ORION turns a plain-language request into an inspectable plan, names the tools and permissions each step needs, and executes only what you confirm. Today it runs as a free public workspace that can act inside the iMpact website and generate real plans with a hosted model. Desktop-wide context and tool execution are still in development, and this page marks them as such rather than implying they ship.

Fundamentals

Three commitments that shape the architecture.

  1. 01

    Permitted context

Assistance begins with the task and context a person explicitly permits — never a silent sweep of files, screens, or accounts.

  2. 02

    Visible plan

Before anything happens, ORION restates the request and lists steps, tools, and permissions so a person can inspect or stop it.

  3. 03

    Controlled action

Every action is confirmable, interruptible, and recorded in plain language. Model choice is a routing decision, not a loyalty.

How it works

Four layers, each with an honest stage.

This is the real architecture and the real status of each layer. Nothing below is described as finished before it is.

  1. 01

    Request and interpretation

A plain-language request is matched to a concrete intent: open a page, change appearance, switch language, search, copy a link, or explain the product.

  2. 02

    Planning and reasoning

A hosted model restates the task and produces steps with the tool and permission each one needs. The plan is returned, never auto-run.

  3. 03

    Confirmed action and record

Page-changing actions wait for confirmation, then run inside this website. The result is written to a local record you can export or clear.

  4. 04

    Computer context and tool execution

Reading the active window or selection and running permitted desktop tools. This is engineering in progress; a web page cannot do it.

Boundaries

What ORION can do right now

  • Open any page of this website after you confirm it
  • Switch between light and dark appearance
  • Switch the whole site between English and Arabic, with right-to-left layout
  • Open site search and copy the current page link
  • Turn a described task into a real plan with steps, tools, and permissions
  • Keep, export, and delete a local record of what you asked and what happened

What ORION cannot do

  • See your screen, other browser tabs, or any other application
  • Open, read, or change your files
  • Sign in to accounts, send email, or make payments
  • Act outside this website, or act without your confirmation
  • Remember anything on a server — the record lives only in this browser

Interactive build

Use the real thing, here.

This is the running product, not a mock-up or a video. Give it a command, confirm the action, generate a plan, and inspect the record.

01 / Command

Ask ORION to act inside iMpact.

Try “open the roadmap”, “switch to Arabic”, “search”, or “copy this link”.

Current response

I can navigate and act inside this website. I cannot control your computer, screen, files, or other tabs.
